In each accreditation centre there are also some other computers
with different tasks (data and communication servers, operations
control, secretariat, logistics, etc.) and one or more laser printers
(for producing lists and statistics); all the personal computers
are linked in a local area network (LAN) and all the centres are
connected by modems/routers in a wide area network (WAN).
Data entry
Our system can avoid a manual data entry in the database. In fact
it is possible to input all the data in a single solution, with
an automatic procedure from an electronic file (MS Access, Excel
format) containing all the information of the accredited population.
Obviously, a manual data entry is always possible in order to
manage the last minute demands.
Internet data entry
Online data entry system is also available. This feature was used
and particularly appreciated during the G8 Summit 2001 and the
Nato-Russia Summit 2002 where more than the 40% of data were entered
using the Internet.
